EAST HANOVER, N.J.- The sun came out on Saturday and so did families and friends to East Hanover Public Safety Day in Lurker Park. The East Hanover Police and Fire Departments, Emergency Medical Services (EMS),  Department of Public Works, Health Department,  the Office of Emergency Management and subsidiary, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Town Council, the Board of Education,along with officers from the Morris County Sherriff's office, invited the public to the park to get to know the organizations and first responders, who put daily put their safety as a priority. 

Water rescue, special vehicles, fire trucks and     were parked and open for folks to check out and inquire about. A special ceremony was held to dedicate one of the CERT  Emergency Operation temporary Headquarters to EH CERT member Ralph C. Manger. The temporary HQ trailers supply generators and diving equipment and even office space. 

The afternoon was capped off by a visit from Morris County Sherrif James Gannon and Director of the Board of Chosen Freeholders, Doug Cabana, in the famed 'Gannon Mobile'. It was a great day in the park.
