FLORHAM PARK, NJ - An alleged white collar crime has potentially taken place at Troy Corporation, headquarted on Vreeland Drive in Florham Park. A former Director of Travel Services has been charged with theft after it was discovered that he had misappropriated corporate funds by using his corporate credit card for personal expenses. He also is accused of receiving reimbursement payments for expenses that did not incur in connection with his employment at Troy Corporation.
Our Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Acting Chief of Investigations Christoph Kimker and Florham Park Chief of Police Joseph Orlando announced the arrest of Hector Cardona, age 49, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.. The alleged incidents happened between June 1, 2014 and January 31, 2017. The total of reimbursements from Troy Corporation to Mr. Cardona were $325,165.95. After his bank account records were examined, it appeard that most of the outgoing transactions were personal in nature and not related to his position or travel with Troy Corporation.
The defendant has been charged with Theft, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:20-3a, a crime of the Third degree. More details will be provided when they are made available.
