EAST HANOVER, NJ - Senior Running-back Ethan Gayle propelled Hanover Park to it's 3rd straight win, rushing for 228 yards and scoring on runs of 80, 82 & 24 yards as the Hornets traveled to Madison on Saturday Oct. 26 and came away with a 27-21 victory. This is the second week in a row that Gayle has scored 3 touchdowns bringing his season total to 15. He also now has over 1,000 yards thru 8 games.

Madison scored first, but Gayle scored twice in the 2nd quater on runs of 80 & 82 yards to give Hanover Park a 14-7 halftime lead. QB Matt Tuli also a senior chipped in 75 yards rushing(7 yd TD) and threw for 112 yds as the Hornets offense totaled over 400 yards of offense. Madison did close the score to 20-14 entering the 4th quarter , but Gayle secured the victory for the Hornets with his 3rd touchdown run of 24 yds. 

The defense was led by junior's Owen Fledman(13 tackles) and Eddie Luzniak(9 tackles) while senior Glenn Torkos recorded 10 solo tackles. Hanover Park's record now stands at 3-5 with a chance for a state tournament game still in the picture.                                                             

Head Coach Dan Fulton was very pleased with how the team responded after falling behind early and is proud of how they have battle back after an 0-5 start. Next up is a home game vs Chatham on Friday Nov. 1st at 7 pm.
