EAST HANOVER, NJ - On Friday, October 11th the NY Jets came to Hanover Park High School to kickoff the weekend football game!  The Hanover Park Hornets took on the Hackettstown High School Tigers and came away with a big win. The Hornets beat Hackettstown 61-38!

In honor of the NFL’s 100th anniversary, the Jets brought their gameday fan experience to East Hanover, where Jets cheerleaders and legendary players watched the home team  Hanover Park Hornets (1-5) win a 61-38 slugfest over the Hackettstown Tigers (1-5).

Early on, the Hornets Matt Tuli opened the scoring by leading a 91-yard drive resulting in a QB keeper for a touchdown. Less than a minute later, the Tiger's Alejandro Castro tied the game with a 79-yard run.  Once the second quarter came, Matt Tuli scored on another keeper and led a long drive resulting in an Ethan Gayle score.  He threw a touchdown pass to Kyle Junda just before halftime. Tuli and Gayle each scored again in the third quarter and despite Hackettstown Quarterback Nick Gagliardi’s five touchdown runs, the unstoppable Hornets offense- including three touchdown runs by Mike Filippone in the 4th quarter kept Hanover Park well ahead and on its way to the huge victory.
