EAST HANOVER, NJ - The Fall sports programs just completed their first week with Hanover Park girls soccer, volleyball and tennis teams starting their season at home going 2-0, while the boys soccer and football teams lost their away games.

The girls soccer team scored impressive wins over Westwood 4-3 and Morris Catholic 3-1. Ashley Alfano scored twice against Westwood with Grace Mochnal and Aryana Galioto each adding one goal to an overtime victory. Sophia Rafanello's two goal scores keyed the win over Morris Catholic with Kira Haemmerle also finding the net.          

The volleyball team earned wins over Morris Tech 25-18 and 25-14 and another win over Morristown Beard 25-12 and 25-23. Seniors Katie Piedale and Vicki LoPinto were key contributors in both matches.

Girls tennis won both of their matches over Mt Olive 5-0 and Parsippany 3-2. The strong play of first singles player Hailee Posnock and the doubles teams of Lauren Schiffman/Karina Gao and Audrey Hoffman/Agnes Fennells were instrumental in the wins.

Boys soccer traveled to sister school Whippany Park and lost 2-0.

The football team fell behind 21-0 early to Mt Lakes and dropped a 41-20 decision. Senior running back Ethan Gayle scored twice on runs of 49 & 7 yds and finished with over 140 yards on the ground.
