6th Annual Sustainable Living Empowerment Conference this Saturday


EAST ORANGE, NJ - The 6th Annual Sustainable Living Empowerment Conference will convene this Saturday May 26, 2018 at Elmwood United Presbyterian 135 Elmwood Avenue, East Orange, NJ.

This year’s theme, ‘Building Communities Through Sustainability’ underlies the deep commitment of the City and the special guests panelist poised to bring a ton of knowledge to our community on this day. The event boast an all-star lineup of eco-friendly professionals and significant stakeholders in their quest to impart sustainability strategies to the East Orange community.

Topic: A Taste of African Heritage: Connecting with our Cultural Food Heritage. Certified Literacy Food Educator, Amarilys will host a workshop on A Taste of African Heritage - Plant Based Diet. She will discuss sustaining the health of our communities through our heritage.

Topic: Creating A Green Collar Industry by creating job opportunities that are satisfying while helping us nourish our communities and sustaining our world.

Topic: KIDS IN BUSINESS® With 44 years of elementary and middle school teaching experience, Weiland shares her visionary discovery methods of open space and multi-age learning with regards to cultivating youth entrepreneurs.
