EAST ORANGE, NJ - An opportunity to help a worthwhile cause drew 80 golfers to East Orange General Hospital’s Annual Golf Classic at the Maplewood Country Club on Monday, Aug. 25. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund the hospital’s numerous essential programs and services.

Promoted by the hospital’s Foundation, the day’s events included lunch, golf competition and a dinner reception. Golfers followed a scramble format with prizes given for low gross and net scores as well as closest to pin, longest drive and straightest drive. “Each year, this outing not only provides community and business leaders with a chance to enjoy a day together, but also gives us at East Orange General added support for our programs,” said hospital Foundation Board Chairman Todd Brower, Esq. “A special thanks goes out to everyone who played, as well as all the businesses and vendors who contributed to the event.”
