(ORANGE, NJ) - A conversation about COVID-19 with Karma Brown Warren, MD, a Doctor of Emergency Medicine. The conversation was hosted by Orange Mayor Warren who is the husband of Dr. Karma.
Dr. Karma highlighted although 80-85% of people with COVID will be fine with mild symptoms, it is those who have trouble breathing, lips are blue, and face looks gray, that are asked to head to the Emergency Department. Otherwise, Dr. Karma said professionals are asking people to stay at home and self quarantine.
If the serious symptoms are not there, the emergency department will not be able to do anything for mild symptoms. Staying home and taking Tylenol is what she recommends.
Dr. Karma reminded everyone to stay at home as some may have COVID-19 but not show any signs of having the virus.
In her final thoughts she stated she does not think the virus will be out of our lives forever but through science, technology, and vaccines, it can be beat.
