AKA 1908 Playground Mobilization Day

EAST ORANGE, NJ - Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM the Rho Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will participate in the AKA 1908 Playground Project SM at Elmwood Park in East Orange, NJ.  This project is part of Alpha Kappa Alpha's International initiative focused on Environmental Ownership. 

The AKA 1908 Playground Project SM was launched in 2014 to insure that children will have safe and inviting places to play.  The sorority has restored and renewed over 2200 existing community and school playgrounds to date.   Please feel free to join us as we beautify the playground and surrounding areas of Elmwood Park.  RSVP at RGOPrograms@gmail.com.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University in 1908.  Since then, the sorority has flourished into a globally-impactful organization of nearly 300,000 college trained members, bound by the bonds of sisterhood and empowered by a commitment to servant leadership that is both domestic and international in its scope.  Rho Gamma Omega Chapter has been providing committed service to the Oranges and Maplewood for thirty years.
