“A wise man should see thought-provoking thinking in everything.”
--David T. Wheeler, Entrepreneur
David T. Wheeler is one of our readers. He commented to me that I seemed to be taking a spiritual turn with some of my quotes and passages. And he gave me this beautiful quote from himself.
It is true that many religions and cultures have added to the wisdom of living. I believe it is God’s inspiration to and through us that we are even able to discern the nature of people, situations, and things. Discernment and wisdom are spiritual tools. Whether they come from the obvious or the unobvious, they are spiritually given and, hopefully, used in a good way.
To those of us who might look at the effects of people who’ve used Christian theology and practice in an ungodly way, I say, “don’t throw out the baby with the bath water.” As Mr. Wheeler says, “a wise man should see thought-provoking thinking in everything.” Even if the thought shows us what not to do.
I accept discernment and wisdom.
