BLOOMFIELD NJ - Sunday, current and retired Bloomfield firefighters visited Engine 219/Ladder 105 in Brooklyn to mark the 15th Anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In the days following the attacks, Bloomfield provided manpower and apparatus to this fire house while they're brother Firefighters concentrated on working at the World Trade Center site. 7 members of 219/105 perished in the attacks.
Visiting this firehouse has become an annual tradition for Bloomfield as every September 11th the current FDNY Firefighters invite departments that assisted them in 2001 to join them in remembering their fallen members.
After a solemn ceremony at the firehouse, the Bloomfield firefighters, in addition to approximately 100 other firefighters from as far away as Anaheim, California traveled to The Ground Zero site.
