BREAKING NEWS: East Orange Mayor Ted Green Issues Heat Advisory


EAST ORANGE, NJ - Mayor Ted R. Green, the East Orange City Council and the Office of Emergency Management have issued a Heat Advisory for today Monday, June 18, 2018.  According to the National Weather Service, the heat index value is expected to reach almost 100 degrees during the mid to late afternoon.

**PLEASE NOTE** Extreme heat can cause illness and death among those who cannot stay cool. The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during outdoor exertion or extended exposure. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. In cases of heat stroke, please call 9-1-1.
