EAST ORANGE, NJ - MFSI/MAASI FAMILY SYSTEM (MFSI) is the brainchild of Shaha Mfundishi Maasi and his son Mfundishi Khalil Maasi. MFSI researches and teaches their synthesis of the esoteric martial traditions from the world martial healing diaspora. 

Khalil Maasi is co-founder of MFSI with his father Shaha Mfundishi Maasi. Khalil has been a student of meditation and martial arts beginning under his father at 5 years of age. Khalil has taught and mentored in the East Orange Recreation Program, East Orange Board Of Education, African Advantage Program at Mildred Barry Garvin School in East Orange NJ, APAS/African Peoples Action School in Trenton NJ, and at workshops and seminars nationally and internationally. 

Khalil has been a state certified Assault Prevention Counselor with NJCAP/NJ Child Assault Prevention Program for the past 13 years. A trained actor, Khalil has in the past used the medium of theatre with the edutainment organization Da’Scene to do assemblies and workshops throughout NJ for at-risk youth on subjects such as gang violence, drugs, sex education and conflict resolution. Khalil is also a traditional African priest in the Yoruba tradition of Ifa and serves as an assistant minister at Ile Imole Ifa/Ifa Temple Of Light in East Orange NJ.

The Change Makers radio show has been making waves since it aired in October of 2015. Each week it features politicians, entertainers, filmmakers, and entrepreneurs alike along with other very notable guests. The co-hosts Royston Allman, Rebecca Saint Louis, and Eric Perryman bring a combined twenty years of experience in broadcasting.
