EAST ORANGE, NJ - Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports the arrest of Tyrone E. Ingram, 50, of East Orange, and Barry Caldwell, 58, of Newark, for an incident of illegal dumping last night.
At approximately 10:15 p.m., members of the Illegal Dumping Task Force observed both men unloading a gray Ford pickup truck of wood debris, several filled large plastic bags, and household trash. The suspects were seen unloading and dumping these materials in the back of a vacant residence in the 400-block of South 10th Street.
Both men were immediately arrested and charged with Illegal Dumping and Illegal Transport of Solid Waste. The vehicle used to transport the dumped materials was towed and is subject to seizure by forfeiture.
These charges are merely accusations. Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Since the inception of the Illegal Dumping Task Force in June, 41 individuals have been arrested.
