EAST ORANGE, NJ - On Sunday, April 13th, 2014, Alumni of the East Orange Unified Marching Band who are currently majoring in music at Delaware State University (DSU) presented a Student Recital at the E.H. Theater on campus. Denzel A. Thompson-Williams of East Orange, a junior and music education major from the studio of Dr. Frank Gazda at DSU, was in charge of organizing all parts of the recital and wrote an arrangement of Aaron Copeland's Fanfare for the Common Man to be played by the Columbian Blue Brass Quintet, for which he plays tuba. He teamed up with trumpeter Neil Davis, also of East Orange, and currently a sophomore music education major from the studio of Dr. Patrick Hoffman at DSU.
