East Orange Clergy Association Hosts Unified Lent Service Wednesday April 5th

EAST ORANGE, NJ - The president, officers and members of the East Orange Clergy Association (EOCA) send a special invitation to all East Orange churches and residents of every faith to join in fellowship for a unified Lent Service Wednesday evening April 5, 2017.

Founded by the late Reverend Arthur Jones, Pastor of St. Marks AME, the EOCA has been active in East Orange for more than 25 years. Over the years the association has been host of the first joint Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. service in conjunction with the City held at Faith Temple New Hope Church; they sponsor the annual Baccalaureate Service for our high school graduates and co-host the ‘Seven Last Sayings of Christ’ with the East Orange Discipleship Team.

The upcoming Lenten Service seeks to be another unifying activity in their history.

The sermon will be offered by Reverend Dr. Joseph Oniyama, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. The service will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.
