EAST ORANGE, NJ - The East Orange Clergy Organization (EOCO) held a triumphant service in celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. last Monday. The event brought residents, clergy and politicians from all across the city and county. It was considered by all in attendance a complete success.

The service was held at Mount Olive Baptist of East Orange. Rev. Michael Jordan is the pastor and also an executive officer of EOCO.  The guest speaker for the day was none other than Rev. Dana Owens, pastor of Messiah Baptist and current President of EOCO as well.

In a post service interview, Mr. Marvin Dunn, East Orange resident and owner of Church Management Today remarked, “Rev. Owens really gave a good talk.  “He was awesome…he blessed the House”. “He perfectly tied the calling of Moses and Martin (Luther King Jr.) together.”
