EAST ORANGE, NJ - The East Orange Housing Authority (EOHA) Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly known as Section 8) which offers HUD funded rental assistance, in 2005 established Project L.O.V.E., (Landlords Offering Valuable Efforts) which is an initiative whereby toys are donated by our agency participant landlords and the community during the holiday season. These toys are then gifted to our program participants to ensure the children have the holiday they deserve.

The EOHA thanks our donors including our community donor business partners which include Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen of East Orange, Checkers of East Orange, Supreme Bakery of West Orange and RMT Buffet Catering LLC of Irvington who provided a generous festive luncheon for the families to enjoy. Nearly one hundred families were served. The event was fun filled with music, dancing, joy, laughter and of course lots of toys for the holiday season.

Wilbert Gill, EOHA Executive Director and Elena D. Coley, EOHA Director of Operations acknowledge the hard work, dedication and collaboration of Mrs. Denise Simmons, HCV Supervisor and staff to ensure the continued success of this valuable program. Learn more about the EOHA at www.eoha.org and Follow us on Facebook.
