ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The Office of the County Executive has informed the Essex County Utility Authority that the county Hazardous Waste and Electronic Recycling events that were scheduled for May have been canceled.

At this time the fall dates for the Essex County Hazardous Waste and Electronic Recycling events will still be in effect.  It is recommended that residents hold onto any material they anticipated on discarding at either of these events until the fall. The county will continue to post updates regarding any scheduling changes that take place.  

The Essex County dates for the fall events are currently set for Saturday, October 3, 2020 for Household Hazardous Waste and Saturday, October 17, 2020 for the Consumer Electronics day.
