Murphy/Oliver Win Gubernatorial Election

EAST ORANGE, NJ - At midnight, with approximately 98% of the votes counted, exit polls numbers confirm the Murphy/Oliver team handily won the 2017 New Jersey Gubernatorial election 55.5% to 44.4%.

East Orange is extremely proud of the fact that one of our own long-time residents, Sheila Oliver  will remain in the State House, but this time serving as Lieutenant Governor.

The team of Phil Murphy and Sheila Oliver are no strangers to East Orange. They ran a rigorous campaign (with the assistance of Mayor-Elect Ted Green) throughout the entire city and surrounding Essex County area.
