EAST ORANGE, NJ - Hip hop pioneers and hometown icons Naughty by Nature will be special guest performers at this year’s East Orange Annual Independence Day Celebration on Monday, July 4, 2016.

The event will be held at Paul Robeson Stadium, North Clinton Street and Park Avenue. Gates will open at 5:30pm; the concert will begin at 7pm.

The Grammy-Award winning rap trio of Anthony Criss, Vincent Brown, and Kier Gist — better known as Treach, Vin Rock, and DJ Kay Gee — are currently on tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut self-titled album. The July 4th city event presented the group with an ideal opportunity to show love to East Orange and their longest-standing fans.

Naughty by Nature made one of their earliest debuts at the stadium during a Fourth of July Celebration back when it was known as Martens Stadium. That concert was a pivotal moment in their career and set the stage for the international success that followed.

The event, hosted by Ms. Theresa, will also feature New Jersey club music producer DJ Lil Man, local R&B group The After Special, and a spectacular fireworks display. The celebration is free and open to the public.
