ORANGE, NJ - In a collaborative effort to engage the community of Orange, HANDS, The HUUB, and ValleyArts are now accepting applications for innovative ideas to address issues in two neighborhoods: the Heart of Orange and the Valley, through the Neighborhood Project Grants. This micro grant initiative will allow residents to have a direct impact in the communities where they live and work.

Through the Neighborhood Project Grants, a team of residents can be awarded between $250 to $1,000 to implement a project that addresses an issue in the community and falls under any the following categories: Youth Activities & Leadership, Economic Development, Neighborhood Beautification, Cultural Events, and Health and Safety. In addition, residents can receive application assistance and partner with teachers and civil servants who want to get involved. The goal is to empower residents to lead the change they want to see in their communities.

The application is available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Submit your idea by June 14th for a chance to make a difference in our community – one idea at a time!! For more information and project requirements, please visit:
