EAST ORANGE/ORANGE, NJ - As the numbers continue to come in throughout Essex County during the second wave of COVID-19, Orange and East Orange are being impacted. This past week, positive cases of COVID-19 began to slowly decrease since last week's numbers, although there was a slight uptick in deaths that occurred. From November 22nd-November 28th, there was a combined total of 178 new cases (127 in East Orange and 51 in Orange) and 4 deaths. Residents are encouraged to stay vigilant, stay home as much as possible, stand six feet apart, limit indoor and outdoor gatherings, and wear a mask to keep the numbers in our two towns from increasing.

•    The number of infected individuals in any municipality is likely to be much greater than indicated as this data ONLY includes persons who have been tested and whose lab results have been reported in the State’s data system.
•    This data will not match any other report since cases are continually entering the system and local health departments may reassign place of residence as appropriate during their investigations.
