ORANGE, NJ - On August 1st, communities and neighborhood block organizations all across America came together for National Night Out. Thousands of neighbors took part in events all around the country to celebrate the spirit of community.
Celebrations included block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, caravans and other community events that highlighted police-community partnerships, public safety tips, youth events, and much more.
In Orange, the block party cookouts are so popular that elected officers, community police and council people ride around from block to block to help neighbors celebrate.
A caravan led by Mayor Dwayne Warren led the Orange Police Department at The Freddie Polhill Law and Justice Complex at 29 Park Street to visit National Night Out block parties occurring throughout the city.
