(ORANGE, NJ) - HANDS has worked with the community for almost two decades in the planning process about the future of the Valley neighborhood in Orange and West Orange. The Valley 2030 Plan will reflect the opinions and visions of hundreds of people who live in, work in, and care about the Valley. The Valley 2030 Plan will qualify the Valley for 10 million dollars over 10 years in funding from the state Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit program to help improve the neighborhood, rehabilitate old buildings, create affordable housing, foster business development, and sponsor community programs and activities.
A wide range of issues evolved from a series of meetings with some Valley residents in the fall of 2019. HANDS is working to solicit ideas and comments from as many Valley residents and business owners as possible. Your opinions will help inform the Valley 2030 Plan by August 2020.
