MONTCLAIR, NJ - The PSE&G advance utility work for the NJ Department of Transportation’s (NJDOT) Bloomfield Avenue bridge project has been postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing state Transportation Trust Fund situation in Trenton, Montclair officials announce.

The NJ DOT instructed PSE&G to stop work on the project late Monday afternoon.

The Bloomfield Avenue overpass, which spans the Montclair-Glen Ridge town line and the NJ Transit train tracks, is scheduled for replacement in 2017 by NJDOT.

NJDOT will host local community meetings for Montclair and Glen Ridge residents prior to the start of bridge replacement work.
