EAST ORANGE, NJ - U.S. Senator Cory Booker and Candidate for Governor Phil Murphy accompanied East Orange City Council President Ted R. Green as they “walked the ward” to garner support for his candidacy as Mayor of East Orange.
The Senator, Murphy and Green walked the Third Ward neighborhood of East Orange, with supporters joining them to knock on doors, listen to and ask residents to join them in supporting and voting for the Line A Team on Election Day, June 6.
Green, who is a Third Ward Councilman was also accompanied by Bergson Leneus, Third Ward City Council candidate and Britnee Timberlake, President of the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders, who is also running for reelection.
Council President Green said, "I am honored that both Senator Booker and Ambassador Murphy took time to greet East Orange residents and to join us on our Listening Tour in the City's Third Ward." He continued, "I want to thank the residents who took time to talk to us as we walked or who welcomed us to their front door to talk further.
Election Day is June 6.
