EAST ORANGE, N.J. – East Orange’s MACFest Music Festival, a celebration of music, art and culture, today announced that iHeartMedia New York’s Power 105.1, New York’s Hip-Hop and R&B, will partner with MACFest Music Festival and MACIdol Talent Search Competition as a promotional contributor.
The 5th annual MACFest Music Festival will be held on Saturday, June 8 from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. at 44 City Hall Plaza, East Orange, New Jersey. The MACIdol Talent Search Competition — one of the preliminary events leading up to the festival — will be held on Friday, May 31, from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at East Orange Campus High School, located on 344 Prospect St, East Orange, New Jersey. Local musicians will compete before a panel of special guest judges, including Mayor Ted Green, Makaela of Power 105.1 and DJ Naim for a chance to join the MACFest Music Festival lineup and perform on the main stage.
As part of the partnership, New York’s Power 105.1 will launch a media campaign which will include on-air announcements, online promotion and live on-site entertainment at the MACIdol Talent Search Competition.

Hosted by Grammy nominated R&B artist Eric Roberson, MACFest Music Festival will be headlined by R&B vocalist Stokley, formerly of Mint Condition, R&B artist Majo, and Latin
artist Tito Puente Jr. The line-up also includes local hip-hop rapper AceDaFace, violinist Chelsey Green and The Green Project and Afrobeat artist Rafiya, with sounds powered by DJ Beloved.
This year’s festival will include live music and DJ sets, as well as a diverse marketplace with over 100 local food and art vendors, a MACFest Kidz Korner which will include a video game truck, an inflatable maze and several family-friendly activities.
