EAST ORANGE, NJ — If you hear the sound of this fire truck coming, move out of the way and admire its beauty. The East Orange Fire Department welcomed a Rosenbauer Viper to the fleet.
This new truck has a 78-foot rear-mount aerial, N55 pump (1,500-gpm) and 500-gallon water tank. Six firefighters will be able to ride in the cab of the custom rig equipped with a Cummins L9 (450-hp) engine within in a Warrior Chassis.
The Department will be able to more effectively and efficiently respond to fires in this new ride. Be on the look-out; it is a car and truck guru's dream.
