EAST ORANGE, NJ – Providing a forum to address community issues, formulate solutions and encourage action, Assemblywoman Britnee N. Timberlake (D-Essex, Passaic) hosted her monthly “Hour of Power” lunchtime community empowerment series Monday.

Launched in February during Black History Month, Hour of Power highlights local residents for their contributions to the community and their impact on District 34. The May meeting was devoted to celebrating four mothers in the community as part of Mothers Day:

•Cathy Walsh Timberlake: Mother of Assemblywoman Timberlake; retired educator of mentally and physically challenged students

The monthly Hour of Power meetings are held at Assemblywoman Timberlake’s district office located at 520 Main Street, East Orange, New Jersey 07018.
