Let’s look at each of these in turn.

1. Building more brand awareness

People can’t do business with you if they don’t know you exist. Therefore, anything you can do to increase brand awareness is key - especially when you are first starting out. You can set powerful goals by creating an outstanding website or blog and then beginning to drive traffic to it. In this case, you will look at your traffic logs and see how successful you are in driving traffic to your site. 

You can drive traffic in one of two ways via your content:

* Search engine optimization (SEO)

* Pay per click (PPC)

SEO is a long-term strategy. Every piece of content you create should have keywords that will optimize it for the search engines such as Google, so they will know what your page is about and whether or not it is relevant to what people are looking for online.

PPC does cost money, but it can be one of the fastest ways to drive traffic to your site. In this case, your goals will be your click-through rate (CTR) and what actions people take when they get to the landing page you are sending them to via the PPC ad.
