(EAST ORANGE/ORANGE, NJ - East Orange Mayor Ted R. Green and Orange Mayor Dwayne Warren joined forces with Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss to implement a one-week four-city COVID-19 lockdown to enforce Governor Phil Murphy's Executive Order 107. Beginning March 31, at 8 PM until next Wednesday morning, East Orange, Orange, Newark and Irvington are requiring people to stay home. They are also requiring senior citizen buildings and businesses to clean several times a day, and are doing mobile wellness checks where municipal police will patrol to observe and cite business owners and residents not complying.
