West Orange Resident and Educator Dies Suddenly at Summer Camp Orientation

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Tragedy struck this weekend when West Orange resident and educator Joshua Allen died suddenly while at Camp Deeny Riback camp orientation, where he was preparing to welcome campers on Monday.

Allen, 37, is survived by his wife, Jamie, the daughter of South Orange resident and Village trustee Howard Levison, and their 4-year-old daughter, Rachel.

Allen was known as a devoted husband, doting father and passionate educator who taught math at the Link Community Charter School in Newark.

2nd Annual Love & Not Hate March Today in East Orange

EAST ORANGE, NJ - This morning the Rev. Al Sharpton will join East Orange Mayor Ted Green for their 2nd Annual Love & Not Hate March against gun violence at 8:00 AM.
