Woman Sentenced to Five Years for Killing Man with Penis Injection

NEWARK, NJ – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today that Kasia Rivera, 38, of East Orange was sentenced today to five years in New Jersey state prison by the Honorable John Zunic, Judge of the Superior Court, for causing the death of Justin Street, 22, also of East Orange, during a illegal procedure to enlarge his penis in 2011.

“This woman had no business injecting anyone with anything,’’ said Assistant Prosecutor William Neafsey, who handled the case.

The state maintained that Rivera, who worked as a bartender in Irvington, injected Street with silicone that was not that kind used for medical procedures, causing an embolism which killed him.

As a result of her guilty plea, Rivera could be deported to her native Jamaica.
