EAST ORANGE, NJ – Women In Media – Newark partners with the East Orange Public Library (EOPL) for a public viewing of three films for the organization’s eighth annual film festival. Hosted by EOPL’s board of trustees member, Jacquelyn Davis, Esq. the event will be held on Tuesday, April 4, at 5 p.m. in the Main Library’s East Orange Room. 

Presented in accordance with Women’s History Month, the film festival celebrates women in film, art, and music across the globe. The films featured for the event include: Singer/songwriter and New Jersey-native, Dorothy Wallace’s animated comedy, “You Don’t Need a Boyfriend”, Cuban director Gloria Rolando’s poignant insight into her cultural heritage in, “Dialogue With My Grandmother”, and Director Gayle Nosal’s, “Sauti,” a drama chronicling the cultural and social challenges of teenage girls in Uganda. The event is free to attend with no registration required.
