If you hold yourself to an impossibly high standard and beat yourself up over the least little thing, this negative pattern can hold you back from getting the most out of life. The negative self-talk might be ingrained from the way you were treated when younger, or the result of comparing yourself to others and finding fault. CBT can help with this too.
Constant Negativity and Discontent
If you are constantly feeling "A day late and a dollar short", this negativity can be self-perpetuating. A mind of abundance appreciates all it has rather than focusing on what it doesn’t. It is optimistic, not pessimistic. It sees opportunities, not obstacles. If you are feeling "stuck" in your life, identify an area you want to improve. Then seek help and take action. You could go to a career counselor, attend seminars and more.
