Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar

The ladies of Rho Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will be hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness seminar. The event will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020, from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm.  The session will be hosted online, via Zoom.   Participants must register through rgoprograms@gmail.com to receive access.  Led by notable surgical oncologist, Dr. Vivian Bea, Chief of Breast Cancer Surgical Oncology at New York- Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, attendees will obtain information on the importance of screenings, self-examination and prevention.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of Howard University in 1908. With over a century of service to mankind, the sorority has flourished into a globally-impactful organization of more than 300,000 college trained women, empowered by a commitment to servant leadership, that is both domestic and international in scope.  Rho Gamma Omega Chapter has proudly served the Oranges and Maplewood communities for thirty-two years.  

The hosting committee, Women’s Health and Wellness, is led by Renee Frazier.  Recia Howard is chapter President.
