Clara Maass Medical Center to Present a Virtual Conversation for Families on Pregnancy, Childbirth and COVID-19

A panel of physicians experienced in Maternal and Child Health will lead a virtual community conversation entitled “Pregnancy, Childbirth and COVID-19: What to Expect During and After Your Delivery.”

The event will convene at 6 PM- 7 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 and can be accessed by computer, smartphone or telephone. 

The event will include information for new and expecting mothers and their families on childbirth in a post-COVID-19 environment and will include an opportunity for attendees to direct questions to the panelists, who are physicians from Clara Maass Medical Center:

  • Naveen Ballem, MD, Chief Medical Officer and Director of Bariatric Surgery
  • Michael Straker, MD, Director of Maternal Care Services, and Obstetrician and Gynecologist
  • Susan Morrison, MD, Director of Pediatrics and Immunologist, and
  • Morris Cohen, MD, Director of Neonatology

In addition, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Clara Maass Medical Center, Dr. Mary Ellen Clyne will also share an update regarding hospital programs and services.
