Synagogue Hosts Prospective Member Jazz Event at Montclair Brewery

Looking for a vibrant synagogue with an innovative religious school? Stop by the outdoor stage at Montclair Brewery Sunday June 27th at 6:30p.m. for conversation with Bnai Keshet members and live jazz performed by musicians who are members. Learn about High Holy Day observances, including youth and family services, and the community’s religious school. Stop by the synagogue’s information table staffed by current lay leaders and chat about the community’s offerings.T he event will be free and open to all.

Enjoy singer Aviva Patz who will appear with the quartet Jazzboat featuring Craig Levine on drums, David Wish on guitar, Richard Reiter on saxophone and Marc Gidal on acoustic bass --- all longtime Bnai Keshet congregants eager to see existing members again and welcome a chat with prospective members too after so many months of engaging virtually.  The Montclair Brewery is located at 101 Walnut Street in Montclair.

Serving Montclair and the greater Essex area, Bnai Keshet (www.bnaikeshet.org) is affiliated with Reconstructing Judaism, an egalitarian movement that views traditional ritual from a contemporary American perspective. Rabbinic staff includes Senior Rabbi Elliott Tepperman and Associate Rabbi Ariann Weitzman, Director of Congregational Learning.
