EAST ORANGE, NJ - Earlier this month, East Orange's finest spotted Wyclef Jean grabbing lunch from Burnett Bar-B-Que on Hoffman Blvd. Police officers King and Cueva were able to grab a photo with him. 

Wyclef is an artist from the East Orange area who got his musical start in the church. His father built a bilingual church in Newark that is still there to this day.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The next Essex County  Emergency Food Distribution Event will be on Thursday, Jan. 28 at Orange Park in Irvington to help families negatively impacted by the pandemic. The 1,000 boxes of food that will be distributed are meant to benefit families who are struggling with food insecurity.

EAST ORANGE, NJ — Thanks to a partnership with Walgreens, elders and staff at Bishop Taylor Manor, an apartment building for seniors, received the first of two doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. 

The vaccines were administered in the building’s community room. The follow-up shot will occur on January 31 at the same place.
