EAST ORANGE/ORANGE, NJ) - Everyone seems to be talking about “Tiger King,” Netflix’s latest true-crime docuseries, but why? Two words; Shock Value.

Let’s start with a man named Joe Exotic. Joe has over 175 tigers on his property and breeds them like dogs. Got your attention yet? No. Well, what if we told you this same guy is a self-described, “gay, gun-carrying redneck with a mullet,” who has three husbands (two at the same time), and bad business dealings. There is more polygamy than you can imagine, combined with a hitman, suicide, meth, and poor working conditions. Spoiler alert: One of his employees got their arm bitten off by a tiger and goes back to work within weeks. Oh yeah, and Joe Exotic also ran for president with his face on contraception as campaign material.

The story chronicles several animal zoos, and a blood feud between proclaimed animal rights activist and the man who said he would never get rid of his tigers without a shootout.

In a nutshell, emphasis on the nut. We believe this docuseries is so intriguing because it combines several crazy, shocking, outlandish, unthought-of dynamics that many of us never knew existed at the same time.

Watch it at your own risk. The only thing we can promise is that you have never seen anything like it.
