EAST ORANGE, NJ -- Today’s spotlight business is Spice & Things located at 442 Main Street (see attached video).
Spice & Things is one of the featured participants during the East Orange Restaurant Week 2019 and Taste of East Orange on November 9, 2019. East Orange Restaurant Week (November 4th — November 10th) highlights the international flavors found in East Orange and promotes East Orange dining local.
The husband and wife team of Roger and Andrea Miller own and operate Spice and Things; a local Caribbean Restaurant located at 442 Main Street in East Orange. Chef Roger also serves as personal chefs for singer, songwriter and rapper Lauryn Hill.
When asked why they brought their business to East Orange, they responded, “one of the reasons we migrated from New York (Queens) to East Orange was the fact that EO has one of the largest Guyanese populations in New Jersey; and also we are on Main Street, it’s a good location. We get people traveling as far as Jersey City and Long Island.”
