EAST ORANGE, NJ — Mayor Ted Green, members of the East Orange City Council and a host of well-wishers proudly stood in celebration with local developers, Sa’id and Gigi Boykin of SBF Development during their recent Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 14 North Clinton Street.
Although dozens of housing units are presently being constructed along our Transit Village rail line, this project has special significance to the businesses and residents living and working in the lower Main Street area. Sa’id and Gigi Boykin are long time business owners and native East Orange residents that grew up in the town and made good on their promise to give back to the community.
Among the many dignitaries that joined the festivities, the Boykins were delighted to be joined by students from Our Lady Help of Christians School. The school is directly across from the development. The students were able to get a ‘bird’s-eye’ view of the construction process from beginning to end. During the ceremony Sa’id Boykin spoke directly to the students letting them know that if he and his wife were able to accomplish this, so could each of them.
The Clinton Grand constructed 20 luxury one and two bedroom rental units ranging in price from $1,500 — $1,750 with a host of modern features and amenities comparable to those found in New York and neighboring towns.
