EAST ORANGE, NJ - Mayor Ted Green, the East Orange City Council and the Department of Pubic Safety invite all EO residents to join in the multitude of activities taking place on Tuesday August 6, 2019 for National Night Out.

No matter where you live in the city, there is something going on for you and your family to enjoy. Council members in each of our five (5) wards are sponsoring special events.

The East Orange Farmer’s Market which is open every Tuesday at 12pm will be including special programing that evening which will feature Open Mike Karaoke and the Gene Ghee Trio at City Hall Plaza 4-8pm.

The movie Toy Story 3 will be showing on a jumbo screen at Soverel Park on Springdale Avenue 4-9pm.

Rowley Park will feature a cook-out sponsored by Joi’s Angels and the 2nd Ward Council members 4-8pm.

Haire Park will be hosting a open swim and free food event 6-9pm

The Third Ward Community Center at 120 Rhode Island Avenue will be open with music, food and fun for the entire family.

National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships with the goal of making neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out hopes to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.
