EAST ORANGE, NJ - Earlier this month, East Orange's finest spotted Wyclef Jean grabbing lunch from Burnett Bar-B-Que on Hoffman Blvd. Police officers King and Cueva were able to grab a photo with him.
Wyclef is an artist from the East Orange area who got his musical start in the church. His father built a bilingual church in Newark that is still there to this day. Wyclef rose to stardom as a member of the Fugees before having a successful solo career. He is a Grammy Award Winning artist who is very active in the community here in New Jersey and in Haiti. Wyclef founded a nonprofit in 2001 called Yéle Haiti and in 2010, he ran for president of Haiti.
