National “Dads Take Your Child To School Day

This is the 13th year of Dads Take Your Child to School Day. It is the national response to the Black Start Project: Million Father March, which started in Chicago, Illinois in 1996. New York State coined the name Dad Take Your Child to School Day in 2006. This initiative now takes place at thousands of schools, Head Start programs, Early Learn and After School programs across the United States and Virgin Islands.
