EAST ORANGE, NJ - Many of us are familiar with the television program Restaurant Hunter and its Emmy-winning host, Christine Sloan, who searches for the best eats New Jersey has to offer. TAPinto East Orange/Orange was on site as their latest search brought them to Limin's Cafe Caribe at 5 Winans Street in East Orange.
Limin’s has been in business for over 22 years serving cruise from Trinidad & Tobago. The food is a mix of Indian, African, Creole, Chinese, Spanish, and other European influences, all blended into an authentic Trinidadian setting.
In speaking to the owner, Eric Jordan, he remarked that although the restaurant has enjoyed over two decades of success, he is grateful for the additional exposure his store is gaining and looking to the future to do even more. “People have been asking me to open a restaurant that offers a bar, music and fine dining”, stated Jordan. Something he may seriously thinking of entertaining in the future.
