EAST ORANGE, NJ — Although often combatants in high school sports, commerce and enterprise, over the last six years the cities of East Orange and Orange have walked together collaboratively in support of the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Walk.

Aside from the resolve of the respective Mayors and City Council to make a significant difference in the lives of those suffering from this dreaded disease, the event organizers (Brantley Bros Moving & Storage, Speak Life Enterprise and AAngelsNJ) play a huge role in bringing the two towns together.

This year the event begins at Elmwood Park in East Orange and travels west to Monte Irving Orange Park and back again to Elmwood Park.

The walk is from 8:00 AM — 2:00 PM. Organizers are seeking sponsors, walkers and well-wishers. Financial donations are tax-deductible.
