The First Professional Mixed Gender Basketball League Hit the Courts

ORANGE, NJ - The Global Mixed Gender Basketball league (GMGB), the first and original professional coed basketball league is up and running and proud to announce that Carlstadt, NJ based Alka Warrior Water has committed to serve as their newest sponsor. 

The GMGB league’s debut started with celebrity owner Tiny Harris. Harris purchased a team known as the Atlanta Heirs. The GMGB league will debut on her television reality show, ‘Ti and Tiny and the family Hustle’ , where the world will get its first glance into the working and moving parts necessary to create the first professional coed basketball league. 

The teaming of GMGB with Alka Warrior Water solidifies the league. According to the principle owners, this is not only a great business endeavor, but also a positive community development initiative. Alka Water CEO, David Nazar is dedicated to giving back and promoting community involvement to create entrepreneurs throughout the country.  The team is creating sales and distribution opportunities for young people in every community where they open a new market. The Essex County market is expected to open soon.

Orange, NJ entrepreneur James Scott, CEO and founder of the Global Mixed Gender Basketball league (GMGB) identified the need to provide a platform to meet a growing number of mixed gender athletes and sponsors have been quick to get on board. Scott points out “the GMGB creates a new basketball era.”  “Mixed gender ball challenges existing standards and brings new excitement to game. The athletes are amazing and their play pure magic.”

Scott maintains that popularity is growing. The mixed gender game rules are a unique formula of 3 females 2 males the first quarter to the 3 males 2 females the second quarter. There will be 8 teams their first season with all teams owned by celebrities that understand mixed gender basket ball answers the interest of a growing audience.
