METUCHEN, NJ - There is a new meeting place for all who call themselves "American-Irish" and for all who love them.

A young and dynamic group, who call themselves the American-Irish Association of Central Jersey, meets on the first Friday of the month at 7 p.m. at Hailey's Harp and Pub, on Main Street, in Metuchen.

Typically, they can be found in the back room of Hailey's, enjoying dinner and laughs and organizing their latest project. The group is open to all who are of Irish descent and to all who love them, and it endeavors to celebrate Irish culture and to give back to the community, either through awarding scholarships, providing toys and books to families in local shelters, or participating in a charitable cause.

For more information call President Joan McNichol, at 732-744-4153 or Vice President John Blaney at 908-255-8393.
